“Dalla passione di due amiche per il sostenibile nasce the Folish Pink Room” un progetto che utilizza principalmente il cartone e il legno riciclato e da cui nascono degli oggetti unici.
Chi è Beatrice?
Beatrice ha un background come architetta e con la progettazione di interni, di oggetti di design e di complementi di arredo, proviene da una famiglia di artigiani, ed è approdata all’autoproduzione per il fatto di aver vissuto e lavorato nella bottega di famiglia, una tappezzeria. Tra le due lei è l’occhio pratico, attenta alla fattibilità dell’oggetto, alle sue applicazioni.
Chi è Cristiana?
Cristiana è la mente artistica, appassionata di arte e natura fin da bambina, una laurea in russo per la sua curiosità verso le culture diverse, in questi ultimi anni ha deciso di rispolverare il suo talento nell’arte figurativa e si sta facendo strada nel campo della cryptoarte, un recente movimento artistico in area dell’arte digitale, esponendo in gallerie d’arte virtuali. Parallelamente disegna e poi dipinge a mano le creazioni di cartone di The Foolish Pink Room, per questo motivo tutte uniche.
Cosa facciamo insieme?
Abbiamo scelto di creare con il cartone perché un materiale povero ed allo stesso tempo molto resistente, e come partenza c’è stata la sfida nel dimostrare quanto un materiale così povero e così poco considerato possa invece avere un’anima grande che sopporta pesi enormi ed allo stesso tempo è molto malleabile. Nei progetti riusiamo anche il legno, il tessuto e la carta nelle sue varie forme.
Cosa significa per Beatrice e Cristiana la sostenibilità?
Per noi la sostenibilità è il riuscire a creare oggetti che abbiano un basso impatto sull’ambiente, riutilizzando materiali di scarto o dando nuova vita ad un oggetto caduto in disuso.

Who is Beatrice?
Beatrice comes from a family of artisans and grew up living and working in the family upholstery workshop. Today she is an architect and has extensive experience in designing objects, furniture accessories and interior design.These life-changing experiences has lead Beatrice to develop a practical and unique eye, and attention to detail allows her to understand the feasibility involved in object creation.
Who is Cristiana?
Cristiana is the artistic mind, passionate about art and nature since she was a child. A degree in Russian showing her curiosity towards different cultures. Recently she has decided to brush up on her talent in figurative art and is making her way into the field of cryptoarte, a recent artistic movement in the field of digital art, exhibiting in virtual art galleries. At the same time, she draws and then hand-paints the cardboard creations of The Foolish Pink Room, for this reason, all the artworks are truly unique.
What do we do together?
We chose to work with cardboard because a poor and at the same time very resistant material. Initially, it was a challenge to demonstrate how such a poorly considered heavy material could transform itself and be very malleable. In the projects, we also reuse wood, fabric, and paper in its various forms.
What does sustainability mean for Beatrice and Cristiana?
For us sustainability is being able to create objects that have a low impact on the environment, reusing waste materials or giving new life to an object that has fallen into disuse.
